this book is not a technical reference

the information isn't great but it still has merit. the issue is mostly in the title... this book will not give you any confidence in turbocharging or tuning your engine. this book is not a how to. It is at best, an introduction to turbochargers and fuel injection systems. if you already know anything about turbochargers or are looking for practical tips on turbocharging you engine, this book is not for you.
if you think the author should have any consideration for spelling mistakes and should not pull images from google search results, this book is not for you

This book made me angry enough to write a review...that should tell you something.

This book really should be about $10. The info within is very brief and VERY basic...but could be a quick intro for someone that has absolute zero knowledge of turbocharging principles (but really, get a different book). I purchased the book to get more info on the actual tuning process, but was unable to learn anything new.
The author obviously didn't go through an editor...or he needs to get a real editor. Multiple misspellings, poor grammar, cut-and-pasted passages that obviously were intended for filler, or were just oversights. I don't think the author did any proofreading...which, based on the short length of the book, he could have easily accomplished multiple times. Each page of the book is really only about half filled with content. The whole book feels like it was trying to be streeeetched to fill as many pages as possible. Seriously...without the fluff, it's about 50 pages of material...if you're generous.
Sure it's automotive material, written by an automotive person, for automotive people...but the quality is pretty insulting.
What I found truly disturbing, is that the author thinks that "dyno" is short for "dynamiter"...this occurred multiple times in the text.

Surprisingly has TONS of great info

So 104 pages for a car manual about turbos is plenty big, this isnt a fiction novel. I was stuck in the middle of a turbo job for a truck and this explains every thought process imaginable along the way. You can tell who wrote this book has been there and has gone through a lot to get this kind of knowledge. This is a must have for anyone touching a turbo and tuning around it.
