Rob Cubbon Is Quickly Growing On Me!

I am rather familiar with the professional work from Rob Cubbon since I have read his blog before including some of his prior books and I've even taken a few online courses created by him as well.
This book was nothing like the content Rob normally produces though!
It is not a technical training, it's not a how-to book and it's definitely not a step by step guide.
To me, it felt like having a spectacular bird's-eye view watching a regular guy going from "life is pretty rough" to "I believe I have found my calling in life".
I didn't have any idea he went through so much stuff to finally become a successful entrepreneur and all I can say it's that my story is so similar to his that I just couldn't put the book down once I started reading.
The book simply kept increasing my curiousity on and on but don't worry, I won't spoil the end for you.
I have to say this left me incredibly inspired and with so many new ideas to try out for myself and I also want to immensely thank Rob for sharing all the highs and lows of his journey to entrepreneurship.
You are quickly becoming a huge inspiration Rob!
PS. Don't let the title fool you, the book can clearly resonate with anyone that has worked a miserable job or delivered professional services and then turned themselves into successful entrepreneurs.

wow I don't often read inspirational stuff but I've read some of Robs other books, and I like his style. what I hadn't realised that our stories were so similar. If the date 24 apr 2012 means something to you read this book. if you are trying to escape from the corporate "life" read this book!

Sometimes entertaining, sometimes with a serious tone...Rob shares his best in this great little nugget-of-a-book!

The first thing I could relate to with this book is the story the author Rob Cubbon told of his experience working for a "faceless" corporation, doing the work that other people want you to do, and having to put up with someone giving you the kind of work you don't give a s*** about but have to do it anyway...because it's your job. In this book Rob talks openly about his working experience and how his life sucked. It fits in great with the content that follows later on, and it is definitely worth the read.
What we have here is the personal Journey of Rob as he went through a lot of s*** to get to the place where he is at today: selling video courses, blogging interesting blogs to thousands of people a week, and creating value-rich content that helps people to overcome a problem they have. Back in the day when the internet was still taking off and Google had just become a brand name, the author was digging in to create his online enterprise. It's a pretty interesting story [with some great entertaining jabs at his own mistakes] that makes for a good read.
Rob also gets into the importance of products and how you should launch that first product right away, just get it out there! And build that email list. Make it the core asset of your business.
But then Rob shares with us another side to his business that can happen to online entrepreneurs and the lesson learned is: "never rely on anything" and "have as many income streams as possible." he discusses the ups and downs, struggles and victories that he went through to get to where he is, and of course the business that he has created that helps thousands of people each month.
This book was an enjoyable read that I would certainly recommend; it provides some good insight on starting up and maintaining an online biz that I found very useful.
